Since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tribunal has continued to function. The Tribunal has transitioned from in-person to e-person hearings having successfully completed a matter that traversed pre-COVID-19 and during the national pandemic lockdown.

Presently, hearings and case management conferences are being conducted online using remote technology. In hearings, parties make oral submissions and witnesses are permitted to give evidence and be cross-examined via videoconferencing or teleconferencing.

As COVID-19 continues to affect all of us, the Tribunal will continue to embrace technology in order to maintain efficiency by moving cases safely through a virtual space.
