Barbados Revenue Authority Press Releases

The Barbados Revenue Authority advises taxpayers that the deadline for receiving the five per cent discount on 2017-18 Land Tax Bills paid in full is on November 24, 2017.

Carolyn Williams-Gayle, manager communications and public relations with the Authority, is reminding taxpayers that in addition to walk-in payments, there are other payment options available for use.

“The bulk of the traffic in relation to paying land tax bills is seen in our offices during the period of the ten per cent discount. Taxpayers also take advantage of the five per cent discount afforded to them. however, persons tend to wait until the very end to come into our offices to make their payments,” she explained.

“Throughout the course of this month we have seen some heavy days but instead of getting in line, taxpayers can use the drop boxes available at all of our payment locations except the Pine to submit payments. They just need to attach the cheque to the mailer and drop it in the box. This can be done for Land Tax, VAT, PAYE and Corporation Tax. Alternatively, Land Tax payments can be made online via EZPay. This option requires taxpayers to register for the service through the government portal at www.gov.bb/ezpay/.”

Additionally, she is asking persons who have not yet received their Land Tax Bills to update their records at any of the Authority’s customer service locations at the Holetown, Warrens, Treasury Building or the Weymouth Corporate Centre, as outdated mailing addresses could be the cause.
