Business entities, financial institutions and members of the public are asked to be extra vigilant in relation to the surfacing of counterfeit cheques that falsely appear to be issued by the Barbados Revenue Authority.
The Authority has become aware that persons have presented fraudulent cheques purporting to be from the Revenue Authority in attempts to encash them.
Please note that entities who accept such cheques as payment do so at their own risk.
Anyone who is suspicious of any such cheque should contact the Authority at 430-3101 or bramail@bra.gov.bb and inform the Royal Barbados Police Force.
