BRA RELEASES 2025–2026 LAND TAX BILLS
The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) has issued the 2025–2026 Land Tax bills. The bills, which have an issue date of May 12, 2025, are already available online, while property owners can expect physical bills via the post in the coming days.
Communications Officer, Erica Lazare, is encouraging all property and landowners to promptly review their Land Tax bills upon receipt, whether digitally or by mail, and to take note of the applicable discount deadlines.
“In a world where convenience is increasingly important, we’re pleased to offer taxpayers a variety of payment options designed to meet their needs. Property owners who opt to pay in person will receive a 10 percent discount if the payment is made by June 11, 2025, while in-person payments made by July 11, 2025 will qualify for a five percent discount,” Lazare stated.
“Those who choose to pay online using our Land Tax portal will enjoy an extended 10 percent discount period through to August 10, 2025. To access the portal, persons should visit the Authority's website at bra.gov.bb, navigate to the 'Pay' menu, and select Land Tax.”
Lazare also highlighted that the Authority’s Land Tax portal, allows property owners—both local and overseas—to view, download, and pay their bills online using local and international debit and credit cards.
“As we continue to expand on our digital offerings, the portal reflects our continued commitment to delivering modern, and efficient services,” she added. “Earlier this year, we expanded the portal’s features to allow persons the ability to access Land Tax Clearance Certificates online, providing additional convenience to property owners.”
Pensioners who received the Land Tax Pensioner’s Rebate during the 2024–2025 period will be automatically granted the rebate on their current 2025-2026 bills. Additionally, taxpayers applying for Agricultural or Hotel and Villa rebates are encouraged to submit their requests online via the ‘Forms’ tab on the portal.
For additional information and queries, persons should visit the Authority’s website at www.bra.gov.bb, follow the Authority’s official social media channels, or contact the Authority’s Contact Centre at 429-ETAX (3829).
