BRA Reports High Tax Filing Activity as Deadline Reached

(Bridgetown, Barbados – April 30, 2026) The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) is reporting high levels of taxpayer activity on filing deadline day for personal income tax, with heavy traffic across tax clinics and other customer-facing locations.

Over the past two days, tax clinic at Queen’s Park alone assisted just over 400 persons yesterday and more than 500 today. At close of business, approximately 200 individuals were still waiting to be facilitated at the tax clinic. Throughout the week, staff have worked extended hours, often beyond 6:00 p.m., assisting taxpayers primarily with general filing guidance and password resets.

To further support the public, the BRA has made step-by-step video resources available on its official channels to guide persons through checking their information and completing their returns.

The BRA encourages all taxpayers to file their returns before the filing deadlines to remain compliant and to avoid penalties.

The Authority also reminds persons who are eligible for the reverse tax credit for income year 2025 that they have until December 31, 2027.
