Upper Income Tax Band Start Date Changes to August

New Start Date for Upper Income Tax Band

(Bridgetown, July 6, 2018) Employers are asked to note that the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment has changed the effective date of the new upper income tax band from July 1, 2018 to August 1, 2018.

The introduction of a new upper income tax band of 40% relates to those whose assessable incomes are greater than $75,001. Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment, the Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, announced this new income tax band as part of the Budgetary Proposal on June 11, 2018.
