Guidance Note on Estate Clearances Published


The Barbados Revenue Authority wishes to advise the public that it has issued a Guidance note in relation to Estate Clearance Applications. The guidance note can be viewed on the Guidance Note section of the website.

Persons applying for an Estate Clearance are required to submit the following documents:

  1. Completed Signed Application Form
  2. Death Certificate
  3. Letters of Testamentary/Letters of Administration
  4. A certified copy of the Will, if applicable
  5. Resealed Grant, if applicable
  6. List and location of assets including the map reference number of the real property 

All applications should be submitted to estates@bra.gov.bb. Estate Clearance applications should be approved within 5-10 business days once all of the relevant supporting documents have been provided.
