Update on Availability of the CIT Return
The Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) wishes to advise taxpayers that the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return is not yet available for submission. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank taxpayers and practitioners for their continued patience.
The Authority is currently in the final stages of system testing. Our technical teams are working around the clock in close collaboration with the system developer to ensure the return is fully operational, secure, and able to support a smooth filing experience for all users. Delivering a reliable and efficient platform remains our priority.
The Authority is also mindful of the statutory filing deadline of March 15 for companies with January to September year-ends. In the interest of fairness and to ensure that all taxpayers have adequate time to meet their obligations once the return becomes available, the Authority is finalizing the details of a filing extension for affected entities.
Further information regarding the extension will be communicated shortly, alongside confirmation that the return is available for taxpayers to complete their filings.
The Authority appreciates the cooperation of the business community and tax practitioners as we complete these final steps and remains committed to supporting taxpayers in meeting their compliance obligations efficiently and fairly.
